Also, an in-depth article has been posted. It’s a great read!:
Some could call her a walking contradiction, but Melina sees herself as the complete WWE Diva. And with what she has accomplished, whether it’s in the ring, on a mat or anywhere else, she’s absolutely right.
“When I was young and around my family, you could say I was a little Diva,” Melina said with a smile, reflecting about her childhood. “I’d dance around, and I’d pretend like I was a little ballerina. I was always in my own little world.”
Melina described herself as a pretender, but is anything but, as she has always pushed for her dreams to become reality since grade school.
“I have a lot of dreams. It’s just whatever door opens up and whatever fits at that time.” Continue…

M-P.org Starring Roles: The Dark Knight |

RACHEL DAWES IN “THE DARK KNIGHT”
Welcome to the eleventh edition of M-P.org’s Starring Roles - a feature that connects WWE’s A-List Diva with the Hollywood lifestyle she often projects. With this, we will examine certain female roles in current and topical films and see how Melina could embody those roles.
This week, with the release of ”The Dark Knight”, we’ll look at how Melina could take on Maggie Gyllenhaal’s role of Rachel Dawes, the childhood friend of Bruce Wayne (better known as Batman) and assistant D.A. under Harvey Dent. The character of Rachel Dawes was created specifically for the recent Batman movie franchise, as she was not present in the comics. She helps bridge the gap between Bruce’s childhood and was led to him becoming Batman. She is a romantic interest for him, but it may be is destined to never happened, as she refuses to be with him while he hides his identity and devotes his life to defending Gotham City.
In “The Dark Knight”, Rachel has developed a relationship with District Attorney Harvey Dent, much to Bruce’s lament. She refuses to be Bruce’s only connection to a normal life, encouraging him to find a normal life for himself. She is strong-willed, hardly standing by in the violent and male-dominated world. She refuses to be stepped on, and often takes charge against dangerous criminals in her quest to put them behind bars and bring safety to Gotham, even if that means putting her own life at risk.
Melina, like Rachel, has no qualms with interjecting herself into a male-dominated world. She is not intimidated by the opposite sex, and is known to take matters into her own hands, whether it be in interfering in MNM’s matches or never backing down to over-matched opponents like Beth Phoenix. Melina has a bit of an attitude, too, like Rachel. This is essential in keeping people from underestimating her and writing her off as a non-threat. Gotham is full of constant dangers, as is the WWE. Melina would excel in portraying the business-minded woman, keeping a serious mindset even when confronted with possible death. Receiving sympathy, but never looking weak, Rachel is what a WWE Diva should be - strong, yet still bearing emotions. Melina is all of that and more.

M-P.org Starring Roles: Hellboy II |

LIZ SHERMAN IN “HELLBOY II”
Welcome to the tenth edition of M-P.org’s Starring Roles - a feature that connects WWE’s A-List Diva with the Hollywood lifestyle she often projects. With this, we will examine certain female roles in current and topical films and see how Melina could embody those roles.
This week, with the release of ”Hellboy II: The Golden Army”, we’ll look at how Melina could take on Selma Blair’s role of Liz Sherman, the pyrokinetic paranormal investigator and girlfriend to Hellboy. Liz was a normal child until her pyrokinetic abilities began to manifest themselves around her eleventh birthday. The eruption took the lives of her family and destroyed an entire city block. She was taken in by the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense where she learned to control her power to some degree. She was subsequently teamed with Hellboy and Abe Sapien. They often investigate situations involving hostile paranormal creatures, coming into contact with other-worldly creatures. Liz uses her “firepower” to defend herself and others, and is more than capable of holding her own while Hellboy uses more physical measures to take out the bad guys.
In this movie, Liz is in a more developed relationship with Hellboy, living with him. She is very aware of her uniqueness, and is constantly bothered by the attention it brings her. She states on several occasions that she hates being stared at, afraid of being labeled a “freak”. This constant change between confidence and self-loathing makes Liz a very vulnerable character.Melina has always been known to enjoy the attention of her “paparazzi” and the fans, so it’s tough to imagine her being emotionally caged and paranoid. She does have a darker side, though, and if she were endowed with the pyrokintetic abilities Liz has, it would be much easier for Melina to ditch her love for the spotlight. Plus, with Liz’s tendency to get all “firey” when upset, can you imagine how often Melina would set her opponents on fire? Eek.. Sounds like a helluva offensive manuever. Both Liz and Melina are emotional, and set themselves apart from others - albeit in their own ways. Melina’s often been described as having a firey temper - why not physically manifest it as well?
